frequently asked questions

what determines a beat's price?

For beats produced solely by me, standard pricing is $35 for an MP3 lease license and $175 for an exclusive license, unless the beat required significant additional production work (e.g., live guitar, vocals, keys, etc.), which may increase the price.

This pricing structure ensures that, after payment processing fees, I receive a net $30 per MP3 lease.

For beats created in collaboration with other producers or artists, pricing is adjusted to fairly compensate all contributors; beat made with one additional collaborator is priced at $80 for an MP3 lease and $400 for an exclusive license. For each additional collaborator, add $40 to the MP3 lease price, and multiply the final MP3 lease price by five for the exclusive license price.

Why are exclusive licenses significantly more expensive than MP3 leases?

An exclusive license means the beat is no longer available for sale after purchase. You become the sole owner of the rights to use that beat.

Note: Any artists who previously purchased an MP3 lease for the same beat will retain their original usage rights.

how do i credit the producer(s)?

When uploading a song that uses a purchased beat, you must credit “devules” in the metadata/credits on all streaming platformsIf the beat was produced in collaboration with additional producers, their names will be listed:

    • In the file name upon download after purchase.

    • On the online beat store before purchase.

All listed producers must be credited correctly and accordingly. Failure to properly credit all producers may result in a request for correction. If you fail to respond or refuse to comply, legal copyright action may be pursued.

how do i make a payment?

Beats can be purchased directly via my Traktrain profile: traktrain.com/devules.

Purchasing an exclusive license grants access to a high-quality WAV master file upon request.

Stems/trackouts are available only upon separate purchase and agreement to my Trackouts Contract. Requests can be made via music@devules.com or Instagram DM. Please note that trackouts are significantly more expensive than both MP3 lease and exclusive licenses.

who is responsible for royalties?

As the licensee (Artist), you are responsible for registering my producer share with a collection society.

Royalty payment structures differ between MP3 lease licenses and exclusive licenses—specific details will be outlined in the licensing agreement.

Failure to respond or comply with requests for proof of income or royalty statements from any song using my beat may result in legal action to recover owed earnings and enforce contractual obligations.
